Well, it's been almost a year since I posted anything.  A lot has happened in the past year.

As for my collection, Valiant and IDW titles have been hit or miss for the most part.  I am trying to keep up with Livewire, Bloodshot, GI Joe, and the Transformers, but it hasn't been easy.

I have added several DC titles and continue to collect Marvel.  I have whittled my collection down to four characters and four teams:  Captain America (Steve Rogers), Iron Man (Tony Stark), Batman (Bruce Wayne), and Superman (Clark Kent), the Avengers, Justice League, Fantastic Four and X-Men.  Although "Powers of X" and "House of X" are very popular right now, I have not been collecting them.  I have been collecting Action and Detective Comics ever since the DC Universe Rebirth.

I am quite a bit behind on my reading.  I have a shelf full, almost a full long box, of newer issues to read.  I am currently trying to catch up with Batman and Detective Comics.  Ever since Selena left Bruce at the altar, so to speak, I haven't been that interested in keeping up with our favorite caped crusader.  I have been keeping up with Superman and Action Comics although I don't like what Bendis has done to the Kent family.  Taking Jon away then aging him so quickly has kind of spoiled the whole fun "Super Sons" thing that he and Damian had before Bendis took over.

As for Marvel titles, about the only one I have been keeping up with is the Avengers.  Although I am not that much into vampires, I am curious to see what happens with Dracula and Blade.  I did not follow the War of the Realms event this summer; so, I am not certain how that has affected the Marvel Universe.

Anyway, I will try to post more often as I catch up on things here.

    Old gods create new challenges.

In three of the four comic book universes I am following, the old "gods" have returned and are wreaking havoc.  In the DC Universe, the Justice League broke the Source Wall and destroyed the planet Colu, unleashing a plethora of old gods on the multiverse with which they now have to deal.  In the Marvel Universe, the Avengers battled the Celestials and gained a new headquarters as well as a few new members.  Meanwhile, the X-Men are regrouping as the original Wolverine returns.  And in IDW's Hasbro Heroes' universe, the ancient Unicron has destroyed Cybertron and is headed for Earth.

The only universe not affected by an ancient enemy is the Valiant universe.  They are still recovering from the second Harbinger War.  So, unless X-O Manowar or Divinity cause some sort of serious trouble, they should remain unharmed by olden evils for a while.

So, that's my update for this month.  Sorry I took so long to get to it.  Life for me has been a bit crazy the past few months, but I am back to reading my comic books again.  Thank you for your patience, and Happy Holidays!

Sorry, folks.  Comics have taken a backseat to other things in my life right now.  I am still reading, though, and am excited about what is happening in the comic book world(s).  I will have an update soon.  Thank you for your patience. :D

I am a couple of weeks behind on my reading.  Other things in my life have taken my attention away from comics for a while.  All I can tell you is:  The Avengers defeated the Celestials, the Legion of Doom is back and battling the Justice League, Livewire has gone rogue and the Valiant Universe will never be the same, and Unicron is headed for Earth.

Okay.  Well, it looks like Comics Elite has changed their minds and will  be staying with the League after all.  I am a couple of weeks behind on my reading, but rest assured that new reviews and updates are forthcoming.
