The disapointment continues

This has at best been a very average book since the first issue and this one really annoyed me. I bough this series because i'm a fan of both characters but the storyline and writing hasnt been very good. Despite this i've stuck with it.

I understand why DC want to back track a bit on Harley and Ivy's relationship, although i dont agree with their decision to do so. But to do it in this way and with this type of poorly conceived storyline is insulting to the reader.

If you're a fan of Harley and Ivy and in particular their relationship. Just avoid.

Hated It

I do not buy that this is the end of them, TBH. (It better not be!) Hopefully it's just priming us for a big reunion.

I hope so. I think The Harley/Ivy relationship was something that snuck up on DC before Harley became one of their most popular characters. They were happy for the writers to explore it in the background when she was just a popular character. But since she's become one of their most popular characters from a marketing perspective they believe that her being bisexual and in a relationship with Ivy makes her less appealing to the wider audience. Which is total nonsense but they give every indication of wanting to push Harley forward and pull Ivy back. Even if this series was just meant to be  a bump in the road for their relationship. It was still very poorly done.

I don't disagree with you on that, sadly. Honestly, I think they've been at a loss as to what to do with Ivy for a while. Destroying corporations that ruin the environment etc. is getting harder to spin as the actions of a 'villain'. LOL. I'm hoping that they aren't oblivious enough to have missed the *massive* following that Harlivy have developed over the years (and even more recently.)

Last year Didio was quoted as being confused or frustrated that quite often reprints of old, particularly pre new 52, material out sells a lot of their new stuff. I think that shows that DC are staggeringly oblivious to what their readers enjoy.

    An unfortunately good point.
