It sounds silly but I have a hard time getting behind a villain named "Hulkling." I'm also tired of the earth or universe being attacked once a year by not only Marvel but DC as well. I'm curious, how does everyone feel about these companies having an "event" every year? Is it really necessary? So many of them feel contrived.

I mostly skipped War of the Realms and Absolute Carnage, because I wasn't following the books leading up to them, but having now read Incoming and Road to Empyre... I gotta say I'm stoked for this one. I probably won't do any tie-ins other than the X-Men one, but yeah, the writing so far has been great.

Definitely getting the whole X of Swords storyline though--and I prefer the model of the X-Men event (running through the stories, for the most part, rather than a bunch of new books)

"Finale" was a lie. I'm getting tired of story lines that go on and on.

I mean it's a new writer and artist and story, so #39 was really a finale

I think it's great, but I can't help but see the similarities to a story back in the early 70's where Dr Hydro turns a group of humans into amphibians

I've been very disappointed with Marvel fir awhile. It's runs like this that gives me hope. THIS is the Hulk- no guns, armor, 1970's jump suit or overalls. Just pure Mr. Hyde attitude.
