As much as I adore Jason Aaron, I can't help but be undone from liking this by nitpicking his weird, sci-fi gross-out approach to his comics with Marvel. Clearly it captures the grandeur of an event comic very well, and is cool to see everything that Malekith's army terrorize NY. That doesn't make me feel any less silly and cringey when Doctor "A Million Jokes In A Sentence" Strange shows up or when the climactic death scene is Laufey striking down Loki for his betrayal... by eating him....

It's like Aaron never realized that Goosebumps books weren't highbrow, compelling reading.

The cliffhanger was limp but I guess they had to make extra pages because $5.99

It's an alright event start, but it also reminded me why I should continue my hiatus on Marvel events.

Didn't Like It
