Batman #88 Review
February 16th, 2020

1st pg got me hooked with the charisma of Catwoman. Damn Lucius! This is a guy you want backing you up!  What a captivating story! So many moving parts but a very smooth read. Of course the last page has me hooked! Read this issue!

James Tynion IV... He's a great writer! If you are enjoying this I would highly recommend his Rebirth Detective Comics run. It's amazing. OK... Enough recommendations from me for tonight. Ha ha.

If you are a Batman fan, Frank Millers Year One is fantastic. Geoff John's Batman Earth One Vols 1&2 are great. White Knight was amazing. Tom King's run is very divisive, but I liked it a lot. I would highly recommend at least reading the 2 Tom King annuals and his Batman Elem Fudd.

OK... I am looking through my collection here, forgive the formatting, I am copying and pasting this. But here are some cool Batman stories I have enjoyed recently:

BATMAN: CREATURE OF THE Night, BATMAN: THE DARK PRINCE Charming, Batman Dark Knights Metal one shots are better that the series. Batwoman By Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams III TP, DARK DAYS: THE Casting, DARK DAYS: THE Forge (once again the lead in one shots are better than the series IMHO), DARK NIGHT: A TRUE BATMAN Story.

Would you believe that I have the Batman: The Dark Prince still in its original packaging. I am afraid to peel it off. I have it on digital on Comixology as you can borrow it with your subscription service.

If you are looking for Batfamily stuff Batwoman by Rucka was great the best non Batman batfamily title Ive ever read is Batgirl: Silent Knight.  Love Red Hood his current title has been a ton of fun.
