I'm loving these one shots, and this was my favorite. I'm a GL fan, so I was expecting a lot from this. It did not disappoint. The blackouts are a horrifyingly cool twist to the rings power. And the Joker Who Laughs still gives me chills when I turn the page and see the black and red lettering. Great series all around so far.

I'm gonna keep reading this series strictly because my love of Batman prohibits me from dropping it. But this was a pointless, anti-climactic ending to an already underwhelming story arc in the midst of a disappointing series. This arc had real potential, but fell flat. I Am Bane was better than this.

I have really been enjoying the Secret Empire run, but I have not kept up with Marvel story lines very well in recent years (I stick mainly with DC). So naturally, I'm pretty lost when it comes to some of the characters. Can anyone give me a brief rundown of where the new hulk came from? Thanks

In 2015, Amadeus Cho was announced as the new Hulk in the series The Totally Awesome Hulk as part of the All-New, All-Different Marvel event. Eight months after the Secret Wars storyline, following an incident where the original Hulk absorbed a lethal amount of radiation, Cho used special nanites to remove the Hulk from Bruce Banner and place it into his body, allowing him to become his own version of Hulk. With the help of his sister Maddy, he starts hunting down dangerous monsters that are loose on Earth, but is criticized for his irresponsible approach.

I loved this issue. It really sets up this event run as something very large scaled with a lot at stake. And I find the premise very interesting: what would happen if Captain America became corrupt?

I have also read issue #2, and was a little less enamored with it. I guess the last panel was interesting, but I'm just really hoping I'm not being set up for disappointment...

Out of all the new X-men titles, this was by far my favorite book! Old man Logan seeking help from Sabertooth really got the nerd juices flowing..
