Wonder Woman: Rebirth #1
Off to a good start!
June 8th, 2016

Not a huge fan of WW, but come on, Rucka is writing so of course I'll give this a shot. The majority of this issue is essentially meta dialogue about the New 52, Pre-New 52, and other publishing issues. I've read some of Rucka's previous work on WW, but I can see in this issue that he has a very firm grasp on her character, especially the way in which she speaks.

The art is...serviceable, but is of little concern since the artist will not be part of the permanent rotating team of Liam Sharp and Nicola Scott. I'm curious if they're going to make Diana look more like her silverscreen counterpart. Ugh, I just wanted to see how this book was and didn't plan on shelling out more bucks for this bi-weekly, but I'm very intrigued in what Rucka, Sharp, and Scott have in store for us.

Shut up and take my money.

Liam Sharp did some of the artwork in this issue (pgs 15-20). Liam's art is the main reason I'm excited about this book. This issue was a good start.
