Something Is Killing The Children #5

I liked it, but it felt like there was way too much going on and it was all happening way too fast.

I don’t even know where to start.  The octopus convinces James to go in and help Erica.  Tommy sees Erica fighting the thin air and fires a shot which just happens to hit James.  A random little girl named Bian was alive.  Erica pulls out some gold dagger thing and stabs Tommy in the head and he gets a vision of some people dressed like Erica with a ‘doll’ of their own and then he can see the monster.  They then escape.

It was just a ton of stuff and was kind of presented in a messy manner.  It wasn’t necessarily bad but this could have been done much more effectively.

At the end we discover that it was a nest, Erica killed the monster which was a mother, but now there’s more hungry monsters running around, so back to the hunting.

That being said, they made defeating the monster seem incredibly easy so defeating the babies shouldn’t be an issue at all, other than finding them.

Honestly, this issue last some of the magic that was drawing me in, but I’ll continue reading for now.
