Folklords #5 Review

This series went downhill for me.  Unfortunately for me, this issue didn’t capture me enough for me to keep it on my pull list going forward.

The issue has the same theme as the previous in my opinion with overly complicated plots and not very well thought out writing.  Maybe I’m just not smart enough to get it all but it just felt like the writer was trying too hard to make this super sophisticated storyline that ends up just being boring and cluttered.

All of these characters just returning out of nowhere and somehow ending up ahead of Ansel in the journey?  It just makes no sense and there’s no explanation of how it happened, just something that we’re supposed to accept.  This is my biggest gripe.

As usual, the art was fantastic, I just wish it could have kept going with the momentum from the first few issues.
