Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1

When I first read this issue, I knew nothing of Miles Morales other than what was in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie.  I appreciated the first half-ish of the book basically just giving me a nice overview of who Miles is, who his family is, who his friends are, and what’s going on in his life.  I wish more comics would do this, even for well established characters, there’s always new readers.

They got a little political at one point which was whatever.

The plot that arises at the end of the issue with his girlfriend’s nephew being in a robot suit wasn’t bad, but it was nothing to write home about either.  Just kind of a weird quirky plot

It’s super cool to see Rhino chill out with a good guy.  Overall, it’s a good issue and I liked it.  It isn’t the strongest start to a series but it’s a good introduction.
