BEST SINCE BRU
Daredevil #28 Review
November 7th, 2017

I wasn't a fan of Mark Waid's run on DD so I was eager to start again when Charles Soule took over the book.  It's been excellent throughout but issue #28 crushed every expectation and generated several yell-out-loud moments while reading it.  This issue is perfect.  The best creative arc since Ed Brubaker was on the book.

Loved It

"I wasn't a fan of Mark Waid's run on DD" - Whhaaaa? I didn't know such a person existed. On the flipside, I read the opening arc of Soule's run and found it to be typically bland Soule writing and dropped it. Different strokes and all...

I wish I could say I have read something good by Mark Waid.  It has all been... I hate to say it... Very high school.  Like reading a bad 60s comic book. Maybe he is good... Just have yet to see it.

I'm a fan of Waid's, especially his work on Flash and Kingdom Come. You should definitely read Irredeemable. Great concept, brilliantly executed.

I think it depends on what you are reading with Waid. His Kingdom Come is awesome. Also, he had a great run on Impulse back in the 1990s.

Oh yeah, forgot Impulse. That was fun.

I read one issue of his Black Widow run... it was enough.

Black Widow was terrible. Waid has a ton of product and only a small percentage of it is good. But when it is good, it's often great. It's really weird.

Daredevil 28 was great! I like Soule's take on Matt and Daredevil a-like.

This issue was great up until that awful Blindspot political face-plant at the end.  That was beyond cringeworthy.
