WORLD'S FINEST: EQUAL JUSTICE

Batman is fighting crime, unaware that a criminal is taking aim at his back, when suddenly the criminal's gun turns red-hot and he drops it. Batman kicks the criminal in the face and tells Superman that he didn't need his help. He asks Superman whether this has anything to do with his visit to Jim Gordon's office earlier.  Superman tells him that a year ago, Clark Kent was sent a letter from Mallory Blair's mother asking him to write an article about her case. Mallory was accused of killing a police officer, and Mallory's mother believed that the local police had framed her for the crime. The letter was lost in the Daily Planet's mailroom, and Clark did not receive it until today.  Superman has come to Gotham because the policeman's partner, whose testimony will send Mallory to the chair, is now a member of the GCPD. Gordon wouldn't give him any information on the officer, so he's come to Batman for help. They find out that Colvin was the father of Mallory's daughter and the secret boyfriend of his partner Kimberly Stacy, and when Kimberly caused the death of Mallory's daughter, she killed her in revenge.  Superman and Batman race to have Mallory's sentence delayed before midnight, but they're too late. Mallory, unwilling to live any longer, took a nun hostage and was shot by the prison guards, and the only thing they've managed is to repair her posthumous reputation.

LIKE RIDING A BIKE

Dick Grayson is receiving information from Oracle when she suddenly announces that there's a brunette there to see him. Dick takes Donna Troy out for hot dogs and comforts her after she lost custody of her son Bobby to her ex-husband.  The two reminisce until a carjacker named Dose pulls a gun on Dick and demands the keys to his motorcycle. Dick and Donna mock him before he turns the gun on Donna, angering Dick, who knocks him out with one punch. Dose's friends leave the hot dog restaurant and attack Dick, who handles them easily while he and Donna continue to talk.  Dick throws the carjackers' guns into the garbage. He and Donna board his motorcycle as Donna asks him the important question: How's his love life?

DOUBLE PLAY

Green Arrow wishes that he knew more about his father, so Robin tells him a story about the Andrea Lockhart kidnapping five years ago. The FBI blew the case, so Batman and Green Arrow worked together to solve it.
