Following her time in the clutches of Darth Vader, Doctor Aphra has barely escaped with her life. If he ever learns of her survival, he'll hunt her to the ends of the galaxy. But for now, it's time for a return to what she does best. With the droids 0-0-0 and BT-1 in tow, she's off in search of rare artifacts from the galactic center to the Outer Rim and everywhere in between. Aphra's got debts to pay after all. Just as long as she can stay one step ahead of the Empire, some Bounty Hunters and just about everyone else in the galaxy!

This series hit it's stride a bit more than with the first issue. The callback to the OG Star Wars lore is pretty good. :)
I agree. I wasn't too happy with the first issue. The only reason I got this second issue was because I special ordered the Annie Wu variant. But yeah, now I'm reconsidering keeping it on the pull list. I just read it twice now. It's actually a pretty interesting story. Seems this series will be a bit lighter in tone compared to Darth Vader.

Ouch. I don't like the childlike turn Doctor Aphra has taken with the introduction of her father. Not happy with cute nicknames, and this Indiana Jones 3 Father Daughter humour that is happening. I hope dad dies quick.
