AFTERMATH
Jean-Paul Valley wanders the streets of Gotham after he was defeated by Bruce Wayne and the mantle of the bat was taken from him. Jean-Paul lost all sense in his life and he ends up under a bridge with some homeless people. One of them called Legs tries to cheer him up by telling him the story of how he lost his legs at the Vietnam War. Jean-Paul wouldn't listen to it and starts to remember how his life changed since he became Azrael and all the villains he stopped when he was Batman. He feels that without his costumed identities he is a worthless human being and leaves the place, hopeless. Three guys appear and start to disturb the homeless. One of the three is about to break a bottle on a homeless when Jean-Paul appears and saves the people. He feels tired and weak, but deep down, he knows there is still a little hope for him.
