I can see this series not being for everyone. You need to invest a little time in British history and lore to get the full scope of the story, but you can get by if need be. (Honestly, it did add to the book by looking a few references up that I didn’t fully know about/understand.) Overall, this book was quite soul crushing for most involved. It was a dark look at illness and end of life. It was dark, but that brought a lot to the surface.
Well written and the art is interesting. It needs a bit more light, but this is Hellblazer, so I guess all the deep tones just keep the mood.
