So I loved this issue it gets a 4 instead of a 5 though because I am not loving the mystery(I still feel Sanctuary should have been built first then have the murders) even though this issue sorts it out a little. The patient interviews are once again the highlight and are extremely touching. Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't know but what is the tragedy that Lagoon Boy is referring too and Wally West? If they would of put the issue numbers or series in a reference box it would help so I could go read or reread those key moments.
I don't know about Lagoon Boy's story, but I do know that Wally is grieving his children because they don't exist in this continuity. Wally and his family were retconned in New 52 and kind of replaced by Wally the Younger who is currently Kid Flash. But then this Wally was brought back at the beginning of Rebirth and he's the only one that remembers that he and Linda were married with two kids. I'm still catching up on Rebirth so I don't know ALL the details, but that's the basis of what he's going through right now.

Gonna rain on your parade a little and say I think the point is, if you aren't up on continuity, to go back and buy trades/issues to catch up.
You're right I should but that's what I'm saying what issues and events are they referencing? I couldn't find anything about trama in Lagoon Boy's history and Wally's is so confusing I don't know what is going on.

I don't think it was filler, King did a good job of making Sanctuary important and meaningful with the "patient interviews, yes the mystery falls a little flat and making me care about characters who were already killed off is annoying. I think the story moved forward and added some meaning to everything.

He means the story of issue 3 should have been shown before the events of issue 1. IE, switch the order of the issues around to make it more comprehensible. Not literally have an issue before #1 (though there have been #0s before).
Wheezy I agree that tgey should have built up sanctuary first but this issue did get us moving in the right direction even if we don't like the manner or order it was done in.
Wheezy you are right the mystery is very clunky but the "patient interviews feel very natural and meaningful to me.

I had a feeling a flashback like this was coming, but it still ripped my heart out. I'm just all up in my feelings about this series right now and I'm glad I persevered.
I am loving it. It's a mystery... We are not supposed to know what's going on. Maybe people love it because they just do?
We are all in the dark as to what is going on.
