The Incredible Hulk #244
"It Lives!"
Story by Steven Grant. Art by Carmine Infantino and Mike Esposito. The Hulk's travels have brought him to Hollywood where he must match his monstrous strength against the gigantic It, the Living Colossus (last seen in Monsters on the Prowl #25).
Continuity Notes
- This story mentions that Banner has ended up in LA following his encounters with the Defenders, Daredevil and Iron Man. This is specifically referencing Defenders #69–87, Daredevil #163 and Iron Man #131–133.
- This story references Bob's possession of It, the Living Colossus in Monsters on the Prowl #25. Actually, these stories were originally published in Tales of Suspense #14 and 20. Those stories were reprinted in Monsters on the Prowl #17 and 25.
- Link's attempt to take control of the Living Colossus happened in Astonishing Tales #21–24.
- Felix Simon states that he was in a film titled The Emmy in 1963. This should be considered a topical reference per the Sliding Timescale of Earth-616.
- Although It, the Living Colossus is destroyed here it is eventually restored in Avengers Two: Wonder Man & Beast #2. However, it shouldn't be confused with the robot built by Bob O'Bryan in Wonder Man Annual #2.
- Hulk's next appearances are in Hulk! #19, Defenders #75-91, Marvel Two-In-One Annual #5, and She-Hulk #1.
