Was leaning towards dropping this series as this seemed to be headed down a drepressed broken trail with our hero. However this issue flipped everything on its head. King may be building our hero but now I'm captivated by this story.
Yeah feels like King is going to take the commentary on the media in a meaningful direction. I just hope it stays in context of Adam's experience.
Good review cause i was about to drop this as well but if you say its worth hanging onto then ill keep it going for now

The art is amazing in this series. But the contest jumping around from scene to scene is rather distracting. I'm still on the fence with this one because as of lately tom king has just been off his game. And alot of his run on batman was the same.
This may be a case where the story will read better in one or two sittings I think the jumping around would feel more connected(like King's Mister Miracle and Vision)
I don't think King really understands how the media can manipulate his image, with his total misuse of social media to shit all over Jae Lee.
Mara I was thinking he understands too well when I saw the stuff about Jae Lee.

Several hours after his initial tweet, King said he subsequently talked with Lee and learned the artist was not aware of Comicsgate and that the two were now "all good. Best possible outcome."
King made a mistake... But his intentions were solid. He did not want to be associated with a known Comicsgate supporter. Turns out King was wrong about the guys and he did the right thing and had a conversation with the him.
@ Gregory I understand that... But what I am saying is we all make mistakes. But King is in the right to not want to be associated with anyone on the Comicsgate team. He made a mistake and reached out to fix his mistake... That's what real men do.
I assume he has apologised publicly, on Social media? i think we need to take a bit of stock on this one, i get making mistakes, but wasn't King an investigator for the CIA, don't those operatives need evidence before reaching a conclusion? Furthermore its not up to him to dictate to DC who does what cover, he works for them, not the other way around. I find it weird that King attacked someone who is non-white to be aligned with an anti diversity group (if that is what comics gate is as no one can tell me). As i understand it as well, Jae Lee publicly said they were far from 'all good'. The idea this is getting passed as not a big deal is far more worrying, Tom king can torpedo the characters he works on, unfortunately no one can stop that, but when he goes out of his way to besmirch peoples name/reputation which would ultimately lead to further loss of work he should be called out on it. @Taren i am somewhat surprised, i know you are the king Fanboy on here but if someone publicly said 'don't work with @Taren as a director as he is a member of the kkk' you would rightly feel aggrieved.
Is it wrong to now want a wife who would stand behind me so steadfastly that she brazenly blows smoke in Batman's face, essentially gives him the double fredom rockets, and makes him look like a bully on national TV?
That sequence tells the reader a lot about the character in just a few panels. I thought that was a clever piece of character development.
