When a mysterious mastermind orchestrated a yearlong attack on Batman and Gotham, part of the plan involved reviving Deacon Blackfire in Maxie Zeus' body underneath Arkham. However, this plan was foiled by Batwing and Jim Corrigan, who caused the asylum to crash down ontop of them in the process. Zeus was saved from the wreckage and taken into police custody.
