A Victorian-era scientist and businessman who became involved with the Oannes Society, which was obsessed with the idea that all life came from the sea. After the group recovered a strange jelly-like creature from some undersea ruins, the ritual they performed led to Caul being transformed into an Icythosapien. Sealed in a large tube of water, Caul remained hidden until he was found in the 1970's. With no memory of his former life, Caul was renamed "Abraham" after the note left on the tube about the date of Abraham Lincoln's assassination.
