History

Baron Mordo's history is presumably similar to his Earth-616 counterpart's. After Red Skull took over the United States, he recruited Baron Mordo to be his intelligence gatherer. Mordo only accepted the position so he could take the Darkhold Skull kept in his trophy room. However, Skull wouldn't let Mordo near his trophies. After Skull was killed by Logan, Mordo was able to take the Darkhold for himself.

Using the Darkhold's power, Mordo created his own town that enslaved anyone unwary enough to venture inside. Mordo also enslaved Agatha Harkness to constantly a spell that helped maintain his power as well as his youth. The only way for anyone to meet Mordo was to pass the Three Trials of Tituba. One day, Doctor Doom found Mordo's town after learning that his Doombots couldn't detect it. After fighting off the townspeople, he underwent the Three Trial of Tituba and passed all three. Doom then confronted Mordo but couldn't defeat him. However, Doom figured out Mordo's source of power and was able to lift the hypnotic spell Mordo placed on Harkness. Without Harkness, Mordo's power faded as well as his youth. Doom then decapitated Mordo and took the Darkhold for himself.
