History

After Inanna was banished from the Underworld, she began a rivalry with her sister, willing to do anything to get back. In Uruk, Babylon a Temple of Inanna was constructed that housed the M'kraan Crystal in the Tomb of Heaven, however it was locked behind a door requiring the Cicada Key which only one of the Dora Milaje could open.

By the late 1930s both Inanna and Ereshkigal lived among the mortals using the human names "Huma" and "Helga Bergmann". Shortly before World War II, the Nazis, aided by "Huma" began the excavation of Uruk seeking the recover the power hidden within. However, Doctor Heinrich Hellstrom stole the Cicada Key and it made it its way to Ereshkigal, living in New York City under the name "Holly Babson". Her mortal form was killed, but the Cicada Stone was recovered by Peter Parker. While investigating the murder, he unwittingly took the stone to the sister of the victim and "Huma" invited him to accompany her to Europe.

Maintaining her cover, "Huma" eventually reached Uruk in the company of Parker, a Russian operative known only as "Checkpoint Red" and a pilot from Sicily Harry Charles, who turned out to be a Wakandan in disguise. Inanna's pawn Electro threw her at the Tomb of Heaven, activating it and opening the path to the M'kraan Crystal, which Inanna used to open a door to the Underworld, from which she brought back five of Peter Parker's deceased foes.

While fighting them, Parker fell down into the Underworld itself, but while in there Ereshkigal herself gave him a key to defeating her sister. Returning back to the land of the living, Parker connected the Cicada Stone to the M'kraan Crystal, which made it vulnerable. A well-placed shot from his pistol destroyed both the Crystal and Inanna's mortal form.
