Father of Chris Powell aka Darkhawk. Mike was a cop who was married to a lawyer Grace Powell and they have 3 sons Chris, Jon and Jason. Mike and a cabal of his fellow cops were a bit of a crooked and were taking money from criminals like Phillipe Bazin to finance the creation of a suit of armor by which they could fight crime. Mike disagreed with the other members of the cabal Harry Lennox, James Zafar, Johnny Leone and Paul Trent about not killing criminals and disappeared. Later he was kidnapped by Phillipe Bazin during his murder trial and was thought to be killed. Darkhawk discovered his father had survived months later.
