In Star Wars Adventures #5 during the Clone Wars, Checker was assigned by Captain Talsma to escort Senator Padmé Amidala a short distance when she walked from a hangar to the location where Tomarian was throwing his annual Festival of Light gala. When Amidala arrived at the party, Checker was unable to ascend the steps of the building, but gave Amidala a comlink so she could call the droid later.
