Grizzly was a loyal minion of Apocalypse. When the Shadow King detected the presence of the powerful psi Nate Grey, Apocalypse sent Domino, Grizzly and Caliban to track down the telepath and either recruit it or kill it. Along the way, Grizzly helped his comrades slay black market dealer Rossovich.
