Mulan Kato is the daughter of Hayashi Kato, the original sidekick to the first Green Hornet. After his retirement, Hayashi trained his daughter to be an excellent martial artist and sword fighter, abilities which she would use during her later career as the partner to Britt Reid Jr., the second Green Hornet.
