Giles Peacock is the caretaker of the Richards Family Estate in Central City, California. Before departing for Other Earth, Nathaniel Richards created a self-perpetuating fund for the upkeep of his estate, and the support of Giles and his wife so that no matter how long he was missing he could not be declared legally dead and so his family would be taken care of in his absence. Over the years, strange apparitions began to appear out of Nathaniel's lab. These phantoms frightened the Peacock's initially, but they came to get used to their strange visitors. About nine years later, Giles and his wife were visited by the Fantastic Four, whose leader Mister Fantastic was the son of Nathaniel. Upon telling Reed about the strange ghosts, the Fantastic Four were able to breach Nathaniel's lab where they discovered a time-platform. [1] Giles was left to his duties when the Fantastic Four ventures into the timestream to search for Reed's father. [2] Giles has not been seen since, but presumably he is still caring for the Richards estate as usual.
