Due to either a lack of control or unwillingness to follow orders, Wild Child ended up in the prisons designed for those who had betrayed Apocalypse. At some point, he was placed into a cell with Sabretooth, and after 3 days of fighting, Sabretooth asserted his dominance and both escaped, eventually joining the X-Men under Magneto.
