Vasily Kosov was the leader of the Odessa Mob in Gotham City.

In the time following the aftermath of No Man's Land, Kosov was suspected by the GCPD for orchestrating a mob hit on two police officers. While under questioning, Kosov revealed the location of the men responsible for the hit on the Cassamento Family.
Kosov, along with another mobster Emanuel Escabedo, was later framed for the death of Chinese triad Ekin Tzu's wife and the destruction of Able Crown's youth center (in reality they were committed by Ra's al Ghul). Kosov and Escabedo were abducted by Ra's al Ghul's follower Kyle Abbott and handed over to their mobster rivals, who shoot them in cold blood for their supposed actions.
