Professor Honeycutt was a former semi-retired scientist on the planet D'Hoonib. Professor Honeycutt was once perhaps the greatest scientist of the Federation, a human (or human-like aliens) guided system militant government. While working on his mentawave helmet, he tried to help his worker robot, SAL, out of a tangle of wires. Unfortunately, when we was working the robot free, they were stuck by an electrical storm bolt, and Honeycutt's mind was transferred into the robot. His human body was burned, and when the authorities found him, they assumed that the robot had killed him, not knowing of Honeycutt's transfer.
Now, he is hunted by the Human Federation for murder, and also trailed by General Blanque, who wants Honeycutt to finish working on a Transmat device that he can use as a weapon.
