Webwing was a member of the Borderers, a fraction of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard.

Since Webwing helped Deathbird in her coup of the Shi'ar Empire, he was banished to Earth. Webwing's banishment eventually ended, as he appeared alongside the main group of the Imperial Guard again in the confront between the Shi'ar Empire, and the Asgardians gods.
