Glory Grant was one of the members of The Mary Janes, a rock band formed by Mary Jane Watson. Glory - usually the band's voice of reason - and Em Jay had a falling out over the latter's unwittingly self-absorbed attitude; but after Em Jay punched out a boy who was harassing Betty Brant, Glory became enamored with her and they eventually entered into a romantic relationship.
