Lucy Punch cast as Deena Pilgrim in Powers

Lucy Punch (Dinner for Schmucks) has signed on for the role of the female lead in FX's Powers. Deadline reports the British actress will play Deena Pilgrim, one of the two detectives in the police procedural based on the Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming comic book series of the same name.

Charles H. Eglee has written the script for the pilot and Michael Dinner is attached to direct. Eglee, Dinner, Bendis and David Engel are executive producing the pilot. Filming is expected to begin later this Summer.

Lucy Punch will join the other two members of the confirmed Powers cast, Charles S. Dutton and Bailee Madison.
