Earlier today, DC Comics unveiled plans to reboot all of their superhero titles with a historic renumbering of all comics beginning Wednesday, August 31st.
That day, only two comic books will be available - the final issue of Flashpoint and the new Justice League #1. This new Justice League series comes from an all-star creative team, featuring Chief Creative Officer and writer Geoff Johns with DC Co-Publisher and artist Jim Lee. Johns and Lee will bring forth a new era for the DC Universe with re-imagined, contemporary versions of the Justice League - including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern and many others.
Then in September, fans of the DC Universe will be bombarded with 52 first issues of redesigned and rebooted characters they know and love. Jim Lee has spearheaded the redesign of more than 50 characters' costumes for the reboot. Costumes aside, the creative teams and characters that will be brought into this new universe have yet to be announced, but expect more news as we draw closer to the end of Flashpoint. Lastly, every one of those new issues will be available day-and-date on the DC Comics digital platform and in stores. So if you prefer to read your new DC Comics on your computer, phone, or tablet, the option is yours this September.
In the meantime, USA Today released a teaser image from Justice League #1, check it out and give us your thoughts on the reboot below.
