While promoting his latest movie, Limitless, actor Johnny Whitworth revealed that he plays the villain, Blackout, in the upcoming Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
In the actor's interview with AMC Theaters, he explained the character and how he figures into the Nicolas Cage film. For most of the film, Whitworth's character will be human, but later transformed by the Devil into the demon known as Blackout. The same character from the early 90's Ghost Rider comic book series created by Howard Mackie. In his first comic book appearance, Blackout was employed by the demonic crime lord Deathwatch, who sent him to assassinate Danny Ketch, the Ghost Rider at the time. During their battle, Blackout was disfigured after being burned by hellfire from trying to bite through Ketch's jacket. The pale-skinned demon is also known for being weak to light, which causes him to burn fairly quickly. Think of him as a Vampire, just not the Twilight kind.
We've got the full interview below. You can skip through half of the video if you're only interested in the Ghost Rider tidbit.
