Now that you've watch the Green Lantern trailer 20 times. There are comic books to buy tomorrow. Okay. Watch it 2 more times then come back. We'll wait.
The Pull List:
Whew! That was some trip through the time stream. Now that Bruce is back, how will he adjust to what’s taken place in his absence and what are his plans for the future? (Here’s a hint: Scroll down to the Pull of the Week). David Finch pencils this issue that also serves as a lead-in to Batman: The Dark Knight series, which he will write and draw.
In Anoreve, all the clocks have stopped. That is until 314 “Dapper Men” rain from the sky and set off to start time again. Now, a boy, a robot girl and one of the Dapper Men must find out why time has stopped and learn what tomorrow really means. This hardcover steampunk fantasy tale is from the minds of Jim McCann (Hawkeye & Mockingbird) and Janet Lee, whose art is wonderful. The early reviews for this one are throught the roof, so it may sell out fast.
We were caught by surprise by the first issue of Warlord of Mars. The first issue of this new adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs' characters was a lot of fun. Remember how good Stephen Sadowski’s art was on JSA and Hawkman? Well, he’s still brining it.
No matter the line-up, the Thunderbolts have always been one of comic’s coolest teams. But there’s something extra awesome about this new team put together by Jeff Parker. The chemistry between long-time members like Moonstone and new comers Juggernaught and Crossbones is one of the highlights of each month’s pile. And Man-Thing is on the team! The milestone 150th issue sees the new team of T-Bolts has a run-in with the Iron Man, Thor and Steve Rogers. You think Steve has something to say to Crossbones?
Game Day Decisions:
We’re all excited about the DC price reduction in January and have a few titles that we’re ready to jump back on during that month. But you might want to check out Legion of Super-Heroes #7 and Batman: Streets of Gotham #17 this week, even with the #3.99 price tag.
Pull of the Week:
Grant Morrison’s new direction of the caped crusader begins here. Batman has franchised his brand of justice with agents around the world. Morrison has mentioned that this will be a team-up book of sorts with an unexpected supporting cast. With the fantastic Yanick Paquette on board, we feel that Batman Incorporated is too big to fail.
Our other picks for this week:
Artifacts #3
Brightest Day #14
Flash #6
Legion of Super-Heroes: The Great Darkness Saga Hardcover
Morning Glories #4
