Mary Louise Parker Studying For Superman Role?

This is one of those wild rumors, but a fun one nonetheless. It appears Weeds and RED star Mary Louise Parker was found purchasing Superman comic books at a retailer in Silverlake, LA. Could she be brushing up on the Man of Steel's history in order to score the role of Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's upcoming reboot?

A tip was sent in from the comic book store owner to ComicBookMovie.com saying:

I use to run a comics website back in '99 called inked offering. Now run a book store. Anyway, being a fan of CBM, thought you and your troops might be interested in knowing - I'm sure you will - that Mary Louise Parker (Red) came in today and purchased three Superman graphic novels, including Death.

She was very nice but wouldn't say what they were for. Anyway, my assumptions are likely getting the better than me but is it all possible they're casting Lois older? Is that where the Jon Hamm rumors came from? It's all older?

Anyway, this might be of interest to a comic fan. Drop in sometime if you're in Silverlake.

Interesting, but it contradicts comments straight from director Zack Snyder himself. Talking to French movie website, Filmsactu.com, he explained the film would feature a young Superman and be rooted in Superman's early days. Leaving the rumor of the 46 year old actress playing Lois Lane very unlikely.

Consider this one debunked. Parker may have just been purchasing a gift or this store owner really wanted some press.
