Last week, we learned that comic book writer Jeff Lemire was taking over Justice League Dark from Peter Milligan as part of DC's Second Wave creative team change-up. The Animal Man writer has some pretty big plans for the team book, including the re-imagining of a classic Justice League villain, Felix Faust, and some changes to the Dark team.
Black Orchid, who first appeared in Adventure Comics (1973) and hadn't been seen for quite a while, will be making a big splash in DC's New 52 as a member of the team. She'll be joined by John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, and from the looks of it - I, Vampire's Andrew Bennett.
Together, they must steal a map to the source of all magic that Felix Faust has. They tease that the series arc will have consequences that will bleed through to the rest of the Dark books within the DCnU.
Justice League Dark #9, the first issue featuring the creative team of Lemire and Mikel Janin, arrives in stores May 23rd. Have a look at the cover artwork from Ryan Sook below.
