Does the idea of a crimefighter who's multiple personality disorder created Avengers identities sound interesting to you? Yea? Well, it's too late. You didn't buy Moon Knight and now it's coming to an end this April with Moon Knight #12. Yea, you're a horrible person. Seriously.
This week, the most recent Marvel solicitations mentioned that the twelvth issue would be the conclusion of the series. This, of course, blindsided many fans, prompting some to ask series writer Brian Michael Bendis what was going on. On the writer's official forums, he confirmed the news and opened up about the series ending.
"i look at it as a 12 issue maxi series that kicked incredible ass!! which was what me and alex were hired to do. i do wish it sold better and i do wish it was continuing with another team. but i wish that about every comic on earth.
but i am grateful we got to do our entire 12 issues. when you get to 12 you'll see we got to tell our entire story uninterrupted which is very nice. and for you guys that supported it you'll have a nice whole thing.
as for me and alex, back to scarlet!"
So while the One-Man Avenger series, Moon Knight, will come to an end this April, fans of the creative team of writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev at least have something to be excited for - the return of Scarlet.
