For a few months now, fans have been calling Batman's flying vehicle in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises the Batwing. Earlier today, a new FCC filing revealed a line-up of remote controlled toys coming from Hot Wheels, to be released in tandem with the upcoming film. In the filing, the instruction manual presented three different vehicles from the movie - the Tumbler, the Bat-Pod, and a vehicle similar to the photos of the "Batwing", except this one is called The Bat.
Could The Bat be the official name of the vehicle in the film, or is it possible that because Hot Wheels chose to release a version that did not fly (sadly...) they went with a different name?
Little is known about the toys themselves, other than the fact that they're part of Hot Wheels' licensed line for the movie and look like the images below.
