New Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Poster debuts

A leaked version of the new Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance poster has been circulating, but now we have the official, high resolution one-sheet here for your viewing pleasure.

The Ghost Rider sequel was recently shown during Harry Knowles' annual movie-marathon for critics, "Butt-Numb-A-Thon". Following its showing, many members of the press tweeted their thoughts on the Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor-directed film. Most of it was unfortunately negative.  One tweet from BadassDigest's Devin Faraci summed up everyone's feelings, "GHOST RIDER 2 manages to make me look fondly back on GHOST RIDER. Unbearable." Fans will form their own opinions February 17th, 2012 when the film arrives in theaters.

Set several years after the first film finds Johnny Blaze in self-imposed exile from the world. Blaze has become a tormented soul, convinced that his powers are a curse. Former stuntman Blaze is then approached by Moreau, a member of the monastic order of Michael, the warrior angel. Moreau seeks a protector for a mother and son duo who are being pursued by a figure named Roarke – a fellow with a detailed knowledge of the Ghost Rider and his different identities over the centuries.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance stars Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze / Ghost Rider, Idris Elba as Moreau, Johnny Whitworth as Blackout and Ciarán Hinds as the Devil.
