While filming The Walking Dead's second season, showrunner Frank Darabont was ousted by AMC for what may have been creative differences. The news shocked fans, critics, and even the cast and crew. So much so that TVLine suggests one member of the cast insisted the network relieve them of their duties.
Of course, being a part of a "ground-breaking" and successful series may have changed their mind, but some of TVLine's sources claim they were too late. Wish granted. No more contract and they'll soon be written out of the series. A gruesome zombie death, no doubt.
So who could it be? Both Laurie Holden (Andrea) and Jeffrey DeMunn (Dale) have collaborated with Darabont over the years in many different projects. DeMunn, more-so, having been a part of Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, The Majestic, and The Mist. Holden has only starred in the later two. As fans of the comic book series are aware, both characters could play a big role in the show's future.
Either way, this is just a rumor. Nothing has been confirmed and this may never even pan out. So, take it with a grain of salt.
