Fred Van Lente and Kyle Hotz' Destroyers Cancelled

Remember that Destroyers mini-series teaser Marvel Comics sent out a couple months ago? Well, it looks like She-Hulk & friends won't be causing havoc any time soon. In response to a fan's questions, the book's writer, Fred Van Lente, tweeted that the series had been cancelled, even with two issues pencilled.

"Sorry, dude, that series got the axe weeks ago."

"There was no announcement. The book hadn't been solicited yet, and just wouldn't have."

"The biggest bummer about DESTROYERS was Kyle Hotz had #1-2 pencilled and it looked grrrrreat. Ah, well. That's showbiz for you."

Disappointed? We are too. Despite the bad news, there's something in the works from Fred Van Lente to look forward to. "I'm working on a Marvel book right now with an artist I've long wanted to work with they haven't announced yet," he teased via Twitter.
