Until 2009, we had grown accustomed to lackluster video games based on comic book properties. If it were not for Rocksteady delivering us the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum and turning the genre on its head, we'd go into every new title with low expectations. We know the potential licensed games have now when developers put forth that extra effort, but that doesn't mean comic book video games can't be light and enjoyable. Just check out this debut trailer for Batman: The Brave And The Bold: The Videogame for the Nintendo Wii and DS which looks like an exciting 2 player co-op beat-em-up.
Coming from developer WayForward (Contra 4), Batman fans and gamers alike can choose from a host of characters from the DC Universe and The Brave And The Bold animated TV series including Batman, Robin, Green Lantern, Blue Beetle, Bat-Mite, and many others to battle super-villains. From crime-filled alleys to alien planets, WayForward looks to be replicating the TV series' look perfectly.
Batman: The Brave And The Bold: The Videogame arrives in stores this September on the Nintendo Wii and DS only. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think.
