An official announcement is yet to come, but Warner Bros. Pictures has pushed back Zack Snyder's Superman reboot, Man of Steel, from December 2012 to June 14th, 2013.
The date change-up and recent rumors about the script have sparked speculation that Warner Bros were not confident with the third-act of the film. Supposedly Christopher Nolan's brother, Jonathan Nolan, and screenwriter Kurt Johnstad have been brought in to touch-up David S. Goyer's script.
Additionally, the studio had initially intended to release the film in December, but the spot went to Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. They then opted to move the film from an already packed Holiday season line-up to a popular Summer month.
Perhaps we'll learn more over the next few days at Comic-Con.
