Annihilators: Earthfall #1

Here is what marvel does best...cosmic stories.  It's an interesting group that DNA has assembled, and I really miss Guardians of the Galaxy, but it's a fun book.  For whatever reason, the Silver Surfer is no longer on the team, but it still works well without him.  This is the big set-up issue so don't hope for too much of an indepth plot, but a nice little set-up.

The real gem is the continued character building stories of Rocket Raccoon.  Way back when Rocket was going to be playing a larger part in the cosmic community I just wrote it off as something that will go away...but Rocket is fast becoming one heck of a complex character!  If you're not a big fan of Annihilators, start with the Rocket Racoon first and read the Annihilators as a back-up.    Abnett and Lanning know what they're doing...trust in them.  And for those of you that speak Planet X...I am Groot.  I.  Am.  Groot.  I am.  Groot.
