The story is no deeper than the previous arc was, but Wells does display a strong understanding of both heroes and what makes them tick. And unlike so many done-in-one books, the issue feels just as long and meaty as it needs to be.
-
Zeb Wells delivers a nice break from the over-the-top action of the Red Hulk arc. The story would make for a nice short film. The only problem is that Hawkeye comes across as such a shmuck that I can’t help but get annoyed by the character.
-
Despite the lackluster art Avenging Spider-Man is another solid notch in the belt of Zeb Wells and his talent.
-
It isn’t awful, but ultimately, a Hawkeye book likely to upset Hawkeye fans isn’t fit for purpose.
-
There were some fun moments but they were out weighed by Hawkeye's attitude and ineptitude. I was looking forward to a team up with just Spider-Man and Hawkeye but sadly, this wasn't how I wanted it to be.
