When the series is only just coming off the back of one of its best and biggest storylines in years, there's a sense the same elements it featured so heavily -- evil scientists and the employees of Horizon Labs -- should perhaps rotate out.

Amazing Spider-Man #679.1 accomplishes its goals, so if you were hesitant about snatching this up, fear not. My only wish is that the Point Ones would act as true gateway drugs and drop the price to a dollar. I'll keep wishing.

Again, these .1 issues are kinda hard to pin down, but this is an enjoyable enough story with strong art (even if it does look like a DC book).
