Incredibly Positive Reviews

These are Marvel’s flagship heroes and probably my favorite franchise and this book certainly honors their proud history.
-
Despite the bright spots in this issue, the giant, glaring gaps in this storyline weigh it down quite heavily.
-
Brian Michael Bendis is really at his best when he’s able to use Osborn as this boogeyman who knows how to manipulate those around him into thinking they are actually superior to the Avengers.
-
Bendis continues to do great work exploring the inner workings of the new HAMMER. This is one story where the villains steal the show pretty consistently.
-
With this story still in the opening barrages, it’s hard to take it too seriously when the stakes are likely to get higher in upcoming issues. For now, “Avengers” #20 is an entertaining superhero pop comic.
-
Sadly, one of my favorite artists, Daniel Acuna, just didn't work well on this issue and it seemed like a clash of styles.
