It's so good and Mera is such a stand-out character that I'd love to read a Mera mini-series, as long as Johns or someone just as awesome is writing it.
-
Everything from the pacing to the art to the dialog to the characters in this issue simply feel off.
-
Johns has proven that it’s possible to write a great Aquaman comic that stays very true to the character. This Mera-centric issue is just another great issue in a great series.
-
"Aquaman" #6 isn't a bad issue, but it's awfully predictable and feels dumbed down in places.
-
You can target a large market share and still deliver intelligent, well structured and entertaining stories. But Johns has forgotten this and has decided on delivering the lowest common denominator for his easy to digest issues.
-
A light, breezy issue which introduces a few dramatic overtones to the title’s second banana; the art, however, takes a step down, making the issue suffer more than it needed to.
-
So this “in-betweener” with an almost solo Mera tale really won my heart … something this book manages to do every month since its relaunch among the New 52.
-
I wonder if this issue is sort of a backdoor pilot for a possible solo series for her? I doubt it, but if she were to receive one and it was as good as this single issue, I think it could be a hit!
-
For fans that have been enjoying this series, Aquaman #6 is still an enjoyable intermission. However, I feel it's one of the weakest entries in the series yet.
-
Aquaman continues to be one of the better books out of DC's New 52, and it just may be my favorite out of Geoff Johns' current stable of titles.
-
Johns feels the need to give Aquaman's wife, Mera, a revamp. And to be honest, unless he's fishing (sorry for the pun) for interest in a new mini-series devoted entirely to her, this seems like pure filler.
